I was contacted via TikTok about making something very specific with bobbin lace. The person is part of the First Nation tribe and asked if I could create a fox pattern. After some research and online conversations, we agreed on a beaded fox pattern I would use for inspiration.

I created a pattern in Adobe Illustrator. The fox is seen in the center, with geometric shapes and lines echoing out. The inspiration pattern used red, black and yellow, so I matched those colors.

I also wanted to try adding a wooden element at the top to hang the lace. My incredibly talented husband lathed a spindle to use.
