One of the lessons on The Adventurous Lacemakers is a lace making technique that is simple, yet innovative. Using the tulle stitch (CTTT) and two colors of thread, each pin-hole will be one color or the other. This can be used to make a two-toned picture. I wanted to test concept on a small scale, so I designed a pattern using the TikTok logo. I though it would be fun to ultimately send the finished lace to one of the viewers.

The background will be made with white thread. Inside of the logo will have an alternate twist, so the black thread will show. I am using a gimp (thicker thread) made up of blue and pink strands, like the colors in the logo. Since the entire piece only uses one stitch, it should work up pretty quickly. So far, the tulle stitch looks as it should.
