We are returning to the needle lace heart. There have been so many other wonderful lace adventures, but I want to finish this massive project. Did I mention the dimensions? It is 8.5 x 11 inches (21.59 x 27.94 centimeters).

I love this closeup picture! You can really see the texture created by the stitches. Needle lace is made up of, seemingly, millions of buttonhole stitches. As you can see, my stitches have become fairly consistent, which is really the goal. Then, you see the pattern as a whole instead of large and small wavy bits of thread.

Both the anatomical heart and heart-shaped hearts are finished. Now, it is time to connect everything.
