I’ve always been fascinated with needle lace, but had limited experience with the technique. When I saw Maggie Hensel Brown’s discussion panel on the Doily Free Zone, I was hooked. I knew it would be the first class I took. Her lace design is so personal and absolutely stunning!

Maggie’s online class featured one of her signature designs, but I wanted to create something of my own. I chose an anatomical heart with “like” hearts all around it. I make it look like TikTok live hearts that float upward. I’m having fun trying out stitches, but mainly practicing the single corded brussels stitch.
